I'm on the Do Not Call list and I am so over the call and hangup.
this person has been sending msgs about my girlfriend
Just wanted to know who is calling as I don't recognize this number
Constantly calling never say who they are but asked me for personal information I told them I don't give out information on the phone and hung up
They called saying they were the IRS British recored message saying to call back the IRS filed a lawsuit against me.
Getting approx 50_60 emails per day from these assholes. Am not interested in the bullshit
scammers - number provided by voxbone - cybercrime, very likely linked to terrorism.
Caller ID. Caller didn't leave message. It was a survey call and you can get off their list by pressing 9.
This people (sound Indian) call and say f**ck u mfer !! They try to sell computer virus protection or some bs but we all know they are a scam!
Vodafone trying to convince me to increase my data plan.
Said it was Vodafone. Giving me more data and reducing my bill by a few pounds. Gave no information but they knew the phone numbers on my account, the tariffs of each number. Phoned Vodafone on191 to confirm, they have no record of this number on their system. Possible scam
Stop them from phoning me please
Apparently Vodafone Called me, and said that I was paying too much ( didn't sound professional )
They called me this morning but I did not answer. Very interesting to read the comments.
Vodafone trying to upsell to a more expensive plan
Spoke to Vodafone, they confirm it's a scam
This number called my phone and as a rule I don't answer numbers I don't recognise.
Dont answer, its a scam. A woman claiming to be from vodaphone. Heard children in the background so was immediately suspicious. Asked for secret password & Asking if I want more data and got my current amount wrong. I told her I don't want any and she just said "Ok bye".
It is Vodafone. Migrated to a higher data package. It seems fishy, but he had my previous bill records and it was correct, and i checked with vodafone post-call and it was all legit.
Said Vodafone, then asked for my Surname - I said you have that, they said it's to establish I'm the account holder - I said you rang me why wouldn't I be the account holder? She said check your text - proves I'm from Vodafone - I said no it doesn't you rand me so you now my number you could be anyone, she said ok please yourself and hung up...... Still not sure if it's Vodafone or not - if it is I'm not impressed.....
Weirdo with an Indian accent - very pushy and trying to ask for my PIN number....Errr I don't think so pal!
this is weird because other people are saying this is vodafone - I got an ambulance chaser telling me that I had been in a nonexistent accident!!
It’s spelled Vodafone, not Vodaphone.
Was Vodafone sales call saying that I can get more on my current contract?
Some person appearing to be from vodafone , continual harrassment 6 calls so far
This number has rang me 5 times in 2 days
Always calling! 3 times in 3 hours! Jesus! Bugger off!!
Without doubt this is a scam Just had a call from 0808 000 0122 it appears to come from Vodafone but its not. Even preceeded call with a text. They seem to know my details saying iv gone over data limit. but this is not true, Ive checked this morning. You will see similar reports on the web.
Another saying I've nearly exceeded my data allowance. According to' My Vodafone' I've used just 20% of this month's allowance - pretty much what I expect and nowhere near the 80% claimed by the caller. The text message apparently confirming that the call was from Vodafone was almost certainly spoofed and not from Vodafone.
This number has nothing to do with Vodafone. It's a scam to extract personal information from you and to take your money. I have now blocked this number, as I do with every scam or nuisance call or text I receive.
Doing my head in... Blocked number after 6 calls today but I didn't answer any.. So annoying!!
They claim to be vodafone but my samsung vodafone call screening says it is a scam. Expected indian voice in noisy call centre, and got it. Told them they had the wrong number. If it really is vodafone then they have a problem.
Some woman said I’d been involved in a car accident. I’ve never been in an accident.
I was highly sceptical when I had 2 calls off this number. The guy said he was from vodafone & that I had gone over my data allowance (I had) & he could lower my bill and give me more data without extending my contract or starting it again. I was just about to hang up but said how instead. He did ask me my surname, the 3rd & 4th digits of my pin (Not my whole pin). He sent me a 4 digit text to my number. He never asked for any bank details etc... They've lowered my bill slightly and more than doubled my data allowance. The text confirming it never went into my normal ones from vodafone. So I logged into my vodafone app and it's shown up on there straight away. My contract is ending exactly when it was before. I'm glad I didn't tell him to get lost now.
Vodafone grovelling to keep my custom by offering discount. Never!! IGNORE they will entice you with seemingly generous offers but it will cost you, don't be tempted! Vodafone are useless, they now realise that they are losing millions of customers because of unethical practices but it's too little too late!!!
Vodafone they noticed i kept going over on my data and changed my contract to help that and didnt change my upgrade date or anything very lovely service from them
I just had the same number and he told me that to I said no I said I didn’t want more data he didn’t sound like a vodaphone I think it’s scam I’m gonna go on and report it
Very annoying agent, purportedly from Vodaphone and didn't like the answer no thank you to more data! Very persistent and unprofessional.
Claimed to be Vodafone, said i had gone over my data allowance, they said it would show on my last bill, i mentioned i don't get bills, i just pay direct debit, then he back down. Tried again to claim i went over data, i said i didn't use half of my data last month and that i have a data block on my phone to stop me going over, then said "ah yes, i see, my mistake" and tried to sell me a more expensive tariff. This person knew my minutes, text and data but got my monthly payment wrong, obviously bought data off Vodafone as they are know for selling data and this is a scam, block this number immediately.
He wanted my PIN I slammed the phone.
My Vodafone Samsung 7 tells me this number is Fraud or Scam - so I've blocked it. I don't need to speak to scammers or Vodafone sales team (unless I call them).
Calling me several times a day. Did not answer!
I answered and said I was busy eating and to call back at a better time. She was then very pushy trying to get additional information out of me stressing it would just take a minute. I told them we’re to go and hung up. SCAM!
27072017 @ 11:32 I received a call from a person claiming to be from Vodafone (Indian accent from overseas) she said I was over data allowance. Sent me a text & asked me to confirm my surname only. I did & she said 'thank you& hung up! Test said "Dear (my name) This message is to confirm that you are speaking yo Heidi from Vodafone regarding your account and bills. Thank yo, Vodafone A network to depend on". I've noticed they cannot spell "YOU" so they spelt "YO". I've blocked the number now.
Just been on the phone to Vodafone and was told that it is not one of their numbers and that it may be a third party. Now blocked
I've managed to get through to them every time they have called and they said something about checking the billing information because they think i am getting charged more than usual, it is vodafone but they seem to have good intentions
ringing me to ask about an urgency with the account.. there is no urgency what so ever... annoying and wont stop calling. asking for information which they should already know..
Avoid. IT'S NOT VODAFONE!
Apparently Vodafone but is scam to get bank details... ignore and block
Don't answer to this useless number, it will either disconnect it is unfortunately Vodafone. Useless company with no customer service. ignore!
Rang once and hung up, clocking this number now as its rang me multiple times over the past couple of days
They called me and tell me to confirm my name and they asked me for digit numer and i just hang up !
Call me twice no which nobody on the end then hangs up after 5 secs. I've blocked the number now
Rings me all the time , but ive never answered . How can i block this number ?? ????????
Keep telling me that tdaphone trying to get me to buy more data saying I have nearly used my data up which I haven't... Sounds like another scam.... Can't anyone stop this!!!!!!!
keeps phoning me on my mobile number, short number of rings, gone before I can answer.
Why would vodafone call me when I have a perfectly good contract? and I'm not overdrawn..
Called 10 times in 3no days this is so annoying
Unwanted call. I have been bothered by this caller several times
Called today, whilst I was in the bath! So glad I ignored it, checked out the number, looks as though I have had a lucky escape...now auto blocked on my phone, I will be having a stern word with Vodafone about no more unsolicited calls and removing consent to ring, I will also be reminding them my contract is up for renewal later this year!
Vodafone called from the 'Value sales team'. They gave me the details of my account, bit of a hard sell but eventually ended up adding over 20Gb per month and free subscription for an extra £2 pcm without extension to contract. Details showed in Vodafone app within minutes. Genuine call but a hard sales person, very very persistant.
Wanted me to give them my 4 digit pin, then when I said I didn't know it they wanted my password... What's my favourite mode of transport? Car or bike... That isn't a security question! He said I had extra charges on my account but after checking the my Vodafone app I can see he was lying.. Avoid
Vodafone gagging for business lol
Someone's keeps calling asking for mr Jackson lol ??
trying to scam possibly?? asking to increase monthly payments
Didn't pick up AS was on do not disturb
Getting fed up with these numbers. Especially this 08080000122. Is this an actual person or just Vodafone the company? Won't pick up & they don’t leave message. Help??? ????????????
Hey chumps this is a Vodafone number, it's listed on their site.
Called yesterday with a dead line with no answer. Called again today - did not pick up call. Checked other comments and now blocked number.
Sales call, and to all the people saying they're trying to lower your bill they tried to charge me more for more data I said no to. No thanks to this number
Trying to say its Vodafone offering upgrades or increase data etc but ive once asked in vodafone shop about that number and they said its not them. So its scam.
Don't answer this number and block
Spam calls with long lag between answering and them speaking Clearly cold calling so blocked them.
This number keeps ringing me don't ignore 08080000122 it's not Vodafone I rang Vodafone they said not their respective
continuously ringing me/ so number now blocked.
Fraudulent!!! I have never exceeded data allowance yet Muhammed has said I did! A few txts sent - also fraudsters! Started to offer sky packages etc when he knew I was certain about phone account not being excessively used! Do not answer to this number!
Claimed to be vodafone, my last three bills have been an average of "x" so they will bring that down to "y", but the new bill will be higher than "x". No thanks! My bills are only high because vodafone keep over charging and i have to get them to refund it.
Appears to be Vodafone calling to tell you if you are about to go over your free data and to try to upgrade your package to 'SAVE' you money. Watch out as the advise is poor. I go over about once or twice a year and pay the extra. The tariff they offered to put me on was a lot more expensive. They base it totally on that one month and not at a history. Also I put down for no calls. They can email me or text but no calls and on occasions they phone multiple times. I thought that was ment to have stopped with the new laws!!
I am always wary of anyone calling me trying to get me to say 'yes', 'no', 'surname', 'pin' etc.....so I never do. Especially when I can hear the person at the other end of the phone line hitting a button after their question and then again after my response. Lets say - 'to record your answers' as fraudsters can record a pattern to hack you. If this is Vodafone, review your GDPR Regulatory requirements as I do not want to be called like this. Send me written correspondance and I will visit a shop or call the numbers I know. I also dont understand why i am asked 'you are expecting my call today' and when I reply I am not I then get a text saying 'hi, we will call you soon' - I repeat Vodafone, fine line here - repeat 'GDPR'. This is harrassment and very dangerous to users.
Genuine Vodafone. Called when I went over my data allowance repeatedly. I'm now paying £3 more a month for triple the data so yes they're making money off me but it's also beneficial to me! Asked them to prove it was genuine and they sent me an access code from the VodafoneUK text service.
Its is Vodafone grovelling for my business, had 3 accounts now down to my final one which will be cancelled as soon as I can. Appalling company and I wouldn't stay with them for ANYTHING
claimed to be Vodafone told me i am way over my limit and was going to be charged a large sum but they could cancel the fee this is all without any security questions being asked and when i said i have the app in front off me and can see my bill and charges they are fine they hung up on me. WELL PLAYED
I received a call from this number today out of the blue. The caller spoke very fast and I genuinely could not understand what she was saying. I think she said she was trying to save me money and when I asked how she started asking for all my personal details, which I would not give. She got a bit stroppy so I ended the call. I was worried that she had some details already so phoned Vodaphone to check this was one of their numbers and to my disbelief it was a promotional number! I have given them some feedback about the approach that was used and rather than sell me anything they have worried me about my details which I have wasted time on trying to check!!!!
Keep calling me about a new deal sick and tired of this sh** should calling me right now while am texting this 3rd time today ????????????????????????
Guys this call is from Vodafone but it appears to be from an inexperienced off-shore sales team. They are pushy and thier behaviour gives the impression of a scam call-center. I just had a call from 0808 000 0122 it was preceeded by a text. They said (in very poor english) that i had gone over my data limit and needed to change my plan and just kept repeating they would like to help me get my data undercontrol. When i challenged this saying it was, they just hung up. I had indeed slightly exceeded my data allowance last month but only slightly and certainly it would not be in my interest to change plan. So the call is genuine just unpleasent. You will see similar reports on the web thinking this number is a scam.
Said they were from vodafone and as my recent bill was higher than usual they could save me money (My bill has never been over the usual amount for at least the last 6 months). They then asked me to verify myself and asked for a lot of personal data which I refused to give. They rudely told me that they won't be able to save me any money then and ended the call. I tried to complain to Vodafone using online tool and they ring me back to discuss complaint but first need to verify who I am asking for personal details again including most of the letters in my password which I also refused to give.
Called Vodafone and asked them to check this number and it was from vodafone, they were calling to see if I am happy with my account and to check if there are any better deals they can do for me. Ended up getting a 30% discount on my 2nd phone for my son with a family member that works for the NHS. if still suspicious call vodafone on 191 and they will verify it is them calling.
It is Vodafone. It is a scam. They try to get you to switch to a flagrantly worse deal than your present one.
Scam number. I've blocked it but calling several times a day regardless.
This number called me 3 times today, i didn’t answer it as am always getting cold callers so I decided to google the number and came across this thread upon doing that i called up Vodafone on 191 and spoke with a contact agent who was really lovley and called the number she told me she could definitely confirm it’s Vodafone sales team as i went over my data they was calling to see if there was a better deal they could offer me.. hope this helps you all :)
Yeah called me twice in half a hour. Answered the 2nd time n they claimed to be Vodafone, they even sent a text from previous Vodafone sender. He was claiming I was paying too much but asked my name n address for security which I replied I'd speak go V on the live chat. He didn't like this and basically said enjoy paying your £80 Bill and hung up. I have no record of a £80 Bill :s
Asking for details for my account for Vodafone. I asked why and she said to tell me about my bill and if I had any occurrences. To which I told her that I get all my details via email and my phone so why did she want to check it. She just asked for another answer or a password. HANG UP
Have had 6 calls from this number - every time I answer they disconnect the call! very frustrating and annoying
This number is a pesty number. Rings me loads
Saying Vodafone but I wasn't giving out personal information to them..no chance!!
I have had 4 calls from this number and haven't answered and thanks to all your feedback won't be doing either!
I phoned Vodafone on 191 there as I thought I'd given out security details without thinking, they've told me not to worry as this is a Vodafone number for outbound sales if you repeatedly exceed data
keep getting calls from this number, i have told them more than once that i do not want services yet i keep getting calls.
It is according to Vodafone their credit management team. 'We are have just started this practice to know our customers and their issues more and this is for all customers'. But I don't have the additional charges they wanted to talk to me about!
This number called my mobile twice today. I did not answer. just wondering who it is.
Vodafone, reduced my bill and increased my data allowance. Showed up on my Vodafone app instantly and they sent me a text to confirm it was them, the text appeared in the thread from Vodafone proving it was from them. It's fine, no need to be offended if they say you've gone over your data allowance anyway.. really helpful and glad i answered.
I want check who's give me call
This number has called me twice today but I refuse to answer it
Trying to look at my account details to offer me an upgrade. Try getting your password etc. I just went along with it and wound them up until they went haha!
Number was verified by Vodafone as genuine. Man on phone tried to tell me I had gone over my days usage and told me because of my length of time with Vodafone he could offer me extra data on all of my contracts for cheaper than I was currently paying. What a shock I got when I received my email confirmation informing me how much I would be charged. What a drama and long winded process it was to resolve. Go to call list, press and hold number 08080000122 and select "block number" or "black list" from menu on your mobile phones call log.
I received this call from this number this morning. I answered but could not hear anyone I hung up. having checked out the number on the internet it seems to be the same one as everyone else is getting.
Constantly calling me! Not Vodafone, asked for personal details & security questions
Caller said they were calling about me going over my data and to see if they could help me. She asked for 3rd and 4th no's of pin which I gave her, then she asked me for the 1st and 2nd so I hung up. Received a text prior to call with a link to pay £6.50 for more allowance. If it IS Vodafone, they need reporting to Trading Standards. Number blocked.
It is a genuine number. Vodafone. However I wouldnt answer. They tried to offer me a tariff for doubLe the price I'm currently payino, and justified it by saying Id get8GB of data extra per month. I told them I aleady have unlimited texts and calls + 8GB data per month, and never use anywhere near the 8GB, so why would I need 16GB? Cheeky p***s. Some old customers will end up falling for it
This call is from Vodafone trust me, I have checked with them myself. Got better deal as I was spending more money on data. Got 40 gb for extra 6 pounds per month on my bill.
To the clever guy using Jesus to express his frustration at we mere mortals. So what if the calls genuine. Why would a genuine caller from Vodafone need US TO CONFIRM OUR IDENTITY? They made the call!!! Thank you for sites like who-called as you provide a very useful service. Only complaint being your "type of call" boxes don't have one that asks: pain in the ****!
Phones every bloody evening,
Just from Vodafone
Saying it was Vodafone and wanted to reduce my monthly bill they asked me 2 digits of pin as they do so gave it them then they said it was wrong and tried to get me to give them the other 2 digits!! SCAM
it is a genuine Vodaphone call, unwanted but genuine. Just block the number.
rang me twice today but i have not answered it.
Just had the same type of phone call to my mobile as previous comments , this time they asked my surname reluctantly I told them but then they asked for my PIN number and I knew straight away it was scam call - told them to go away very politely - bar on number now !!
Dont answer - cant trust anyone these days
The Number is listed on the official Vodaphone website under the heading "is it Vodaphone calling? "
Vodafone, added 12 gig to my plan and taken money off my bill by £1? Thanks lol
check the c*nt adding all the safe reviews to this number and sayin 'it genuinely is Vodafone' SHIT ATTEMPT AT A SCAM PAL
DO NO ANSWER DO NOT CALL BACK!! Non geographic number which means you will get charged for it. Vodafone confirmed it's not them a minute ago!
Thus number keeps calling me, looked it up and read the comments. I though unsolicited calls were banned now?
Just spoke with lovely lady from Vodafone in the UK... this is sales BUT extremely rude and unprofessional hung up after I refused/questioned the need for security number ... Vodafone are bringing this up with their management team as these continuous harassing calls are not doing themselves any good as a business ... get these numbers blocked with Vodafone if you don't want to be cold called ... pure and simple .... good luck and keep being weary of these calls ... doesn't hurt being cautious X
This number called me twice today, I refuse to answer.
Guys this call is from Vodafone but it appears to be from an inexperienced off-shore sales team. They are pushy and thier behaviour gives the impression of a scam call-center. I just had a call from 0808 000 0122 it was preceeded by a text. Comments same as everyone else. NOT Vodafone! It’s a scam!
Loads of missed calls from this number. Finally answered and was greeted by silence...blocked now!
This is a genuine Vodafone number, they call to go through your account to see if they can offer you a better deal on your current tariff. Safe number to answer calls from.
Nuisance call .. just hang up.
it is not a Vodafone number as they said they are . I have checked with vodafone ...
Claimed to be vodafone asked for the name of my first school, should not ask you these questions then i hung up they immideately then sent a txt from vodafoneUK but this message did not go to my normal vodafone inbox, BEWARE
They called me saying they were Vodafone and then tried asking me for bank details pin code etc. Do not answer
said they were Vodafone and wanted to speak about me being overcharged but they are not didn't even know my name said it wrong 4 times i asked him to confirm who he was looking for mr jackinson not even close to my name scammers....
This number has repeatedly called me over the last few days, I haven’t answered it! I blocked the number after about the third call but they still keep ringing me!!! ????
Called about my phone bill being more than it is meant to be, asked for details of the addition costs on my monthly bill and then my vodafone pin to make changes to the account, ignore this caller
Hung up on me straight away nuisance
Spam calls multiple times a day claiming to be from Vodafone but asking for my details. Don't trust
Say they are Vodafone but where unable to transfer me to the accounts department and said i had to call 141. I'm sure this isn't usual protocol
This is NOT VODAFONE ... someone keeps commenting on here saying it is ...clearly working for these SCAMMERS ...DO NOT GIVE INFORMATION TO COLD CALLERS ... RING YOUR PROVIDER AND THEY WILL CONFIRM ...DO NOT FALL OFF THE BRANCH OF THIS SCAMMING TREE ... THEY WON'T UNDERSTAND ANY TERMINOLOGY LIKE THIS .... BAR STEWARDS ! AND THEY WONDER WHY WE ARE WEARY ... PLAIN id**tS!!! SCAM YOUR OWN MOTHER MOHAMMAD!
08080000122 This is not a Vodafone number, I have just contacted Vodafone and asked if it was their number and they said no it was not .
Received a call from this number today saying they were Vodafone and could make some savings on my account. It seemed strange so I checked with Vodafone who confirmed it was them. I asked 'Live Chat' to go ahead and make the savings please and they double the data free of charge!
Regardless of whether or not this is 'genuine' Vodafraud, I'm not prepared to talk to and divulge account information to a suspicious-sounding call, via a very poor quality and evidently long distance connection, in a language barely recognisable as English. Typical Vodacrud service: counting down the days until my contract ends.
Missed call but did not ring back
I've been with Vodafone for over 20 years so googled this number as like many I don't answer to numbers I don't know. On seeing comments here saying it might be Vodafone I called them. After clearing security and spending a few minutes on hold for a few minutes the Vodafone representative confirmed that this number is definitely NOT Vodafone. Avoid!!
08080000122 is a legit Vodafone number. You will usually get a call if you have been exceeding your monthly data. They will offer to update your contract which will potentially save you money. You will receive a text message from Vodafone if you do agree to what they offer. You can sometimes negotiate and get an even better deal. I have confirmed this by chatting to a Vodafone on their website. If you are uncomfortable with this process, login to your a/c and try and get a better deal yourself.
My phone auto blocked this number so I guess it's not legit. Why would Vodafone sell me a phone and install software on it that blocks their sales and marketing team?
Despite being listed on their site - this number was flagged by Vodafone as potential fraud. I have opted out of sales/marketing calls on numerous occasions - so even if it is legitimate it is harassment.
Vodafone about going over on data and if the options available to increase data package.
I have recieved a few calls from this number which I have rejected. It shows as a Vodafone number, however I have just spoken to someone at Vodafone over live chat who has said it does not seem to be a Vodafone number! SCAAAAAM
I haven't ever picked up their call however they have called me multiple times even though I used the text service to stop vodaphone marketing, which makes me feel like this isn't legit.
Its is Vodafone grovelling for my business, had 3 accounts now down to my final one which will be cancelled as soon as I can. Appalling company and I wouldn't stay with them for ANYTHING
Caller claimed to be from Vodaphone but didnt know any of my account information, what plans I had (i have 3 x mobile tel contracts with Vodaphone), or any specific better offer to present to me? I'd only just changed all the plans to best offers so thought it suspicious to say the least. I wouldn't give out any security details as this is advice from most online security sites. So in summary if it"s a genuine Vodaphone service it's badly thought out at best and potentially fraudulent at worst. Ring Vodaphone direct for best offers!
Probably vodafone - they texted me to ask if they could ring me to sell me more expensive data. Phone calls are the last resort - am changing companies and have blocked the number
I recently called vodagofone about the possibility of an early upgrade on my contract and they said no way unless I pay cancellation fees etc. Fair enough. Been getting calls from this number since but choosing not to answer. Any company calling you still needs to clear data protection so will ask for your name and address etc just don't give them passwords or bank details unless you're 100% sure.
Spam call - woman with Indian accent asking for my full name and answer to my secret question. She said I was paying too much for internet and she wanted to save me money. I told her I had concerns and she sounded annoyed. Pretty sure it's a scam, if it's vodafone they need to sort it out because I don't like unsolicited calls asking for security details.
CLEARLY GENUINE - YOUR ALL SO SUSPICIOUS! :)
0808 000 0122
He phone me, but before phones my wife...same voice with a different name. I've just reject that guy twice. It is scame 4 sure!!
It is Vodafone - I have had it confirmed. I went over last month by 9 mb and they have been hounding me ever since!
Our Credit Management team could call you from the following number to discuss bills or balances during the month: 08080 000 122 01709 918 619 This is on vodafones webpage along with about 50 more numbers for various things. I still aint answering it, will be cancelling when my contract is up
I have had this number repeatedly call me over the last few days stating that I kept going over my data limit. I challenged him as my bills had been around the same as they always are. He was adamant that I had. He then sent a text allegedly from Vodafone UK stating it was their management team. I do have a second phone on the account which is used by son so had to give benefit of doubt. He then started asking personal information which I refused to give and told him that I could not speak with him as I was at work. I have checked my last three bills and I have been well with data allowances. The only bill I cannot check is this month's as the Vodafone site is not working ...... again! Unsure if genuine call or not.
Received call on mobile from this number. Answered it but very wary. Man with strong Asian accent said I had been over data limit with my mobile last month which was true. Said he is Vodafone and he can fix it. Am with EE and it is the only time I have been overlimit which is a one off. How did he know? I closed the call. Sounded like a scam. By the way my name is Jackson.....
Claimed to be from Vodafone. Said that I was paying far too much for my contract and that I should downgrade my data allowance to save money. I regularly reach my data limit a few days before I receive my new data allowance and my bills are exceptionally low after going sim only, so nothing they said was true. Block and do not trust!
Claimed to be from Vodafone and that I had gone over my data limit. They want to "help me" by changing my monthly data package at additional cost. I told them I would check my data usage and get back to them. I've been nowhere near my data limit for the pass 12 months - IT SEEMS TO BE A SCAM and they may be spoofing the number. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT BY OTHER MEANS BEFORE TAKING THEIR WORD FOR IT.
Called saying they're from vodafone they said - i'm allowed "New advantage" (whatever that is) and straight away asking for last name and then pin which i didn't give. I said i didn't want it and then he laughed and said ok and hung up.
It is Vodafone credit management team, apparently 'We are have just started this practice to know our customers and their issues more and this is for all customers' but they wanted to talk about non existent additional costs?
Had a missed call from this number, googled it then I rang 191 from my mobile and spoke to a Vodaphone agent. He told me that there is no record on the account of anyone trying to call me from Vodaphone, I provided him with the number and he told me it doesn’t look like a Vodaphone number and told me I did the right thing calling to check.
Vodafone. Keeps calling about data. I already know I've got no more data left so I stopped using it but STILL called.
This is Vodafone. I went over my data allowance last month by a tiny amount so they are trying to sell me more data.
Didn't understand what she was saging of course Indian when I queried her her hung up. Avoid with wide birth I've blocked that number. Safe I reckon it's a scam
Jesus people, stop being so paranoid about every call you get. It's genuinely Vodafone trying to get you on a better deal if you've got a contract with them, so you're missing out by being so worried you'll get scammed. Of course they'll ask you for some sort of security/pin/confirm last name, it's confidential information they want to verify. Simple use of common sense, not everything out there is trying to fraud you.
Rang and asked me to confirm my last name, I said you can confirm my last name as you rang me, after 2 mins waiting for her to confirm I hung up. Am a vodafone customer but this sounds dodgy!
Keeps calling me, I say hello and I get no response, hardly seems like the type of thing an official number would do several days in a row
Rang 191 to confirm it’s vodafone and it genuinely is, offered me a brilliant new deal, couldn’t be happier I accepted the call.
Vodafone - missed the call as I had no vodafone signal! Ha!
It is Vodafone - as soon as you get near your data they call you to get you to add extra data.
Greeted with silence Called 5 Times
Seemed like a scam to me - they called and started asking me my login and passcode details. I told them if they want to give me a discount they can just apply it and don't need my details but still she tried to get more info. Just avoid it can call Vodafone yourself if you want a better deal.
It could have been Vodafone, but they called me 3 times which I answered all three explaining I am busy at work, gave the time I finish work but still kept calling way before this time. Even if it is Vodafone it's damn annoying. Ended up blocking it, I'd guess it's their sales department given the persisting.
Definitely a scam and nothing to do with Vodafone. Used very bad language when I queried their legitimacy and didn't even know my name. Avoid!
had this number call me twice but up came up as scam/fraud and I'm on vodaphone so have now blocked
Didn't answer, they left me a voice mail and it was just a song playing down the phone? Very weird!!!
I called Vodafone after this number phoned me, to verify. I was told this number is not connected to Vodafone.
This number is NOT Vodafone. I contacted Vodafone via web chat this morning: Harsh: Hello! How may I assist you? Sharon: I keep getting calls from this number : 08080000122 I never answer it as I dont know who it is but looking on line it says its Vodafone...is it ?? Harsh: Let me check if that number is from Vodafone. Since when you started getting all these calls? Sharon: on 14.11.17 I had 2 calls that day and I had another call yesterday Harsh: Sharon, did a double check and learnt that it is not Vodafone. It could be a 3rd party cold caller trying to sell you something. Sharon: thank you I shall block that number then, thank you for your help, much appreciated Harsh: That will be a perfect move.
Vodafone. Glad I picked up as I got an amazing deal for extra data.
I had my bill reduced and data increased BUT - BE CAREFUL the contract date starts again from this point (then you will still be paying for your phone beyond the original end date - KEEP AN EYE ON THEM!!
VODAPHONE - offering to increase data to save you money
Unknown number called twice to mobile asking me to call to avoid account suspension!!
So apparently it is from the telesales team of Voda, but I really don't like the way they tricked us into " discuss important account information " just for their sales! If they really concerned about our benefit in regarding to get best deals, why not just list it out! Genuine but waising of time! I'd say!
This is Vodafone trying to sell you more data , I now pay an extra £4 a month for an extra 48gb of data and my contract expiry hasn't changed
Had 2 call today both within 10 minutes of each other and from different ending numbers. First call rang my mobile and asked for the account holder which is my husband but I am named on the account but wouldn't talk to me. Second call from a different number was to my husbands mobile. I heard my husband confirm his name but then they asked for the account password fortunately my husband doesn't know it. Rang Vodafone direct IT'S A SCAM guys, BEWARE! Both numbers now blocked
Much confusion - caller says from Vodafone and Vodafone say it's their credit management team, but caller is plainly clueless regarding account details (and I'm not supplying security info to them) so, potentially I could get more data than I currently get, but as I don't need it it's just a waste of time. I suspect it's just a sales team with no information about who they are calling until you supply it.
Its Vodafone - a courtesy call - probably to sell me something but I didn't answer.
I would like to know how these scammers know I have a Vodaphone contract? Are Vodaphone selling our details? Had 2 calls from this number in 2 days. Indian sounding man asking for my PIN and memorable info. I hung up. Avoid and block 08080000122
I didn't feel good about this call so asked them to call me back. Checked who called me and got mixed messages so called Vodafone to be told it was a genuine call and they have a lot of the call and a request to ring me back
Looked like one of those scam numbers so I didn't answer it!
Missed several calls from this number earlier today. Finally answered it - caller asked for me by name (forename not Miss/Mrs) I said speaking - who's calling and they ended the call. Number now blocked but I did receive a text message earlier in the week about going over data with Vodafone but when I called them on 191 they said the text had been sent in error .....
Without doubt this is a scam. Just had a call from 0808 000 0122 it appears to come from Vodafone but its not. Even preceeded the call with a text. They seem to know my details saying iv gone over data limit. but this is not true, (Ive checked this morning). When I challenged this they hung up. You will see similar reports on the web.
Its Vodafone trying to make more money from you! They sent me a text saying that I had used up all my data allowance and would be calling me from this number to discuss my data plan, it is a scam because I hardly use it due to using wifi and when I checked I had only used 200MB.
I do not answer most unknown numbers, especially those that have many zeros or 222/333/444 etc. and so on. Nowadays, anyone signing a contract must have an address, a name, a phone number and an email. If the company wants to contact the customer, it can do it by letter or email specifying in detail what they want or what they want discuss. try to ignore any unknown number. PEACE (>_
Rang off before I could answer the phone who called me gave me the answer Not the first time they have called and rung off
Genuine Vodafone Number. Called 191 from my phone to confirm details. They contact you to reduce your tariff if you repeatedly exceed your data usage.
Scammer. As soon as I answered the phone I asked who it was and they said Vodafone and then started asking how my day was. They then said that my bill last month was a lot more than usual so I asked how much was my bill? To which they replied that I have to answer security question- what is my last name? So knowing that this isn't a question they ask cause they should have all my details I just said "good try, but that isn't a usual security question" to which the guy on the phone fumbled his words and tried to convince me it was by the sounds of what he was saying as I hung up. So just watch out
